Called for Room rate, Quoted one rate when checking in was quoted a higher rate. We did get the lower rate. When registering the clerk took a copy of my husband's d l and credit card. Plus put a hold of $100 for room deposit on the card which hasn't dropped off yet and we were told it would be a 24 hour hold that has turned into a 3 week hold!!! Rooms were nice.

Nice place clean historic rooms. Lots of them dedicated to actors of the past.

Yep, I made it to Havasu Falls that day, and back out again. It was beautiful...the best hike of my life. But the day had started in an inauspicious way. Just to be on the safe side, I opted for a chain motel that night in Kingman.

I paid for the night with cash, so I was asked to make a cash deposit. This concerned me, and I told the woman at the desk that I planned to be up very early the next morning because I was going to hike to Havasu Falls. I repeatedly asked her if there would be any problem getting my deposit early in the morning, and she repeatedly assured me that there would be no problem. A little after seven the next morning, the office looked dark and deserted. I had to really lean on the bell to get a response. The door was rudely jerked open by disheveled, corpulent and irate man. When I asked for my deposit, he snarled at me that I should wait until the office was open. When I told him that I had been told the night before that there would be no wait to get my deposit in the morning, he flat-out called me a liar. Then he left, returned with the money and slammed it into my hand. I might add that I found the room dirty and uncomfortable.

I stayed at this motel the night of May 16/17th 2006. The reason I have waited so long to post this review is that once I learned of Google Reviews, I could no-longer remember the name of the motel. I decided to wait until I was in the area once again, so I could make absolutely sure I was reviewing the right motel. I have just returned from a trip to Arizona, and I am positive this was the motel I stayed in.

Another business that is helping bring back Route 66 and offer people an option while traveling the Mother road! Nice and clean, better than what most big hotels offer today. Worth the stay while checking out the local sights while offering a relaxing evening to kick back and have drink and get away form it all! Makes a nice day trip from Phoenix to check in and have some cold beers in the evening after enjoying a nice meal at the Road Kill Cafe.

Checked in on short notice. Got a great rate and the room was small, but clean and very charming. The staff was great. Nice restaurants close by. Definitely planning on staying again.
